NEW IN Burgundy

B&B on a private very high standing boat 85m2 a barge with a superb sun deck all for yourselves, fresh croissants & baguettes delivered in the morning,on board is a good selection of coffess, teas, jams etc.

The price we need to ask is 170 euros per night, all charges and taxes included for 2 to 4 persons max., possible pick up and drop off at the Dijon train station (extra 100 euros for this service 35 mins drive ).

The mooring place of the barge named THE DUKE is at 45km West of DIJON on the BURGUNDY CANAL and only 30km North of BEAUNE:
300m from the nearest village VANDENESSE EN AUXOIS & one of the prettiest villages in france Châteauneuf en Auxois (restaurants):
7 kms from the town of POUILLY EN AUXOIS where there are restaurants, supermarkets, boulangeires, pharmacies etc.)
Only a 10 mins drive from the motorway A6 half way between the North & the South a great stop over place.


The high standing narge has a very comfortable on-deck area for enjoying the fresh air, sunshine, sunbathe and comfortable chaise lounges for you to relax under the protection of a sunshade.

Bed linen and bath towels provided.

4 new mountain bikes available to explore the region on well maintained cycle paths beside the BURGUNDY CANAL (one of the prettiest parts of the canal!)

On board the barge there are 2 pte bedrooms one with double bed and the other with 2 singles 90 X 200cm, a big bathroom with toilet, a spacious walk in shower,a private toilet, salon area and dining area, a great small fully equipped kitchen with 4 gas rings, fridge, freezer etc., a barge full of natural light all day long!

The barge named THE DUKE has just finished a big renovation job inside and outside, the owners have decided that 2010 to rent her out as a fixed holiday home as they have an amazing mooring spot here on the Burgundy canal. It is moored up at only 100m from the owners house in truly an icredible locaton at the foot of a medieval village, Châteauneuf en Auxois one of the prettiest villages here in france.

Please do not worry the owners have 30 years of professional experience in the hotel barging world here in BURGUNDY!, Max is a marine pilot and tour guide of the famous wine region.

This is truly for those who love boats, water & nature.

When you wake up in the morning it's just magical, the morning mist, the birds on the banks etc.

All that we ask is that you take great care and that you leave the barge in perfect clean order for the following rental.
