English couple running a B&B in southern Burgundy near the Franche Comte border. 4 en suite bedrooms 48 Euros per night including breakfast (based on two sharing). Evening meal available on reservation 20 Euros per person including aperitif & wine.
We can arrange for tours to local wine producers in the Cote D'Or (Beaune is 40 minutes away), Cote Chalonnais (Mercurey is 40 minutes away), or the highly individual wine region of the Jura. This is really on of France's best kept secrets. The wines are totally different from the normal run of things and must be tried. There are several co-operatives that are open most days but we've found a couple of small local producers whose enthusiasm for their wine is catching. A couple of days notice and we can arrange for tastings at their caveaux. It really is an experience not to be missed. Even if the wine doesn't get you the scenery will. Totally stunning.
