Bamboo Rod Building in Rural France


An introductory course to rod-building in the heart of the French countryside. Over the five days you will receive a mixture of personal tuition, practical work and all materials to build as a minimum one blank for a bamboo trout rod. There is also the opportunity to see how silk fishing lines are made.

Included is a week’s self-catering accommodation, complete with breakfast and a lunch for the 5 tuition days, with the opportunity of acquiring new skills and at the same time experiencing the tranquillity of rural France. Extra tuition days are available at a daily rate.

As an added bonus, you can make time to explore the Loire Valley, tour the local vineyards and sample the excellent
cuisine of the area. You can also swim in our heated pool.

Accommodation is available for a partner or companion at low cost.

Paris is less than 2 hours by train. Tours airport 45 minutes.by car. A comfortable 3 to 4 hour drive from the ferry ports.
