Determining which of the hundreds of colleges will best meet your child's needs and abilities has become a highly complex, costly, and often stressful process for many families. This process is further complicated when living abroad. Selecting the right academic courses, taking the appropriate entrance exams, developing interesting activities and skills, planning summer experiences, and writing outstanding essays, which have taken on a significant role in admissions decisions, can all make a major difference in gaining admission to the institution of your choice. Recognizing what factors, including learning disabilities, may be affecting a student's performance is a frequent concern.
I have been providing college counseling services to respond to these issues for sixteen years and have an excellent record of appropriate college placements for my clients, including the most selective schools. Having been a college counselor and teacher for St. Stephen’s School in Rome and the American School in Switzerland, I am familiar with French and other European high school systems. As a former high school administrator, English teacher, dormitory parent, and tennis coach, I knows the issues relevant to high schools and teenagers. I hold a Master of Arts Degree in English Literature from Middlebury College and University of Oxford, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Utah.
