Restored light filled and bright 1830's stone barn(exposed stone and beams through out) 72'x 22' with 2 en suite bedrooms at opposite sides of the house for maximum privacy. Large cook's kitchen with west facing stone terrace, overlooking tranquil private valley with abandoned sheep farm on opposite hill. Meditative hidden herb garden. Stone walled front garden. Great room with huge stone fireplace, tv area, 1/2 bath. Close to train and major shopping towns (7-10 mins), yet secluded. Great for biking and hiking right from the door. 20 minutes east of Sarlat, along the river. A very choice location in a serene hamlet up the hill from the Dordogne.

How about a long winter weekend by the fire after
a fabulous randonee in the French countryside? I am
told the weather is mild in the Dordogne, and days are
filled with sunshine. The markets are still filled with
winter treasures, so come on down!

Consider cognac by the roaring fire nightly and plan a winter get away- the house is available for long winter weekends at affordable pricing. Contact me stateside.

Normally Available June25 - Sept30th. Other times by special arrangement.

Pricing from $1100-$1700 weekly, depending on season. Available weekly or longer. No children under 6. NO smoking, no pets. Best suited for 2 adult couples.

New Winter Rates: Dec 1- March 25 $1100/week
Heat included ( toasty central plus large roaring fire)

Long winter weekends: 410E from Thursday through Monday
at 3. Catch the train to Brive in the morning, and be at the house Thursday by 3. Spend a long Monday and return on the 5 something train to Paris, where you will arrive around 9:30. C'est facile, and the train
is a beautiful ride down.

I am happy to help you plan a combined Paris/Pays visit
in France, or if you live in Paris, what better get away than this? ( I wish I was there rather than here
in snowy New England!)
